    what was wrong

when i started BT yesterday she'd got a misfire. I've ordered new plug, rotor arm & dizzy cap which'll turn up tomorrow, i'm just wondering what was at fault in the first place. For the little i know the spark plugs don't look very good

    even the body's are rusty

    close up of 1 & 2

    close up of 3 & 4

    close up of 5

    inside the cap

    many thanks Duane

The rotor arm and dizzy cap dont look too bad, those spark plugs however have long since seen better days.
Arguing is pointless....she may not be right but she's never wrong

I must admit, that when I started my car up for the first time after fitting the SC, it took a good 10 minutes to start running on all 5 cylinders. but as Emlyn said, them plugs look fubard.

Plugs are pooped, dizzy - 50/50 change leads too and you should be larfin. Have you thought about draining the fuel tank? if it's been sat for a while, you could have some water in it - innit!

Them plugs just look worn out, the sooty deposits on them are probably just because you took them out straight after a cold start but the electrode and tip are pretty eroded , also looks like a few of them have been sitting in water at some time. Dizzy cap and rotor arm look like they just need a clean up.

I'd say those plugs look very worn. I know it's been a while since the car was last on the road but they must have done quite a few miles before you took it off the road for the plugs to have erroded like that.. Corrosion on the last plug to the right in the top picture suggestions water has been lying in the spark plug well or maybe its suffered heavy condensation...

It also looks like you have both short and long reach plugs there. But no matter what they are stuffed.

Mind you it could be the beer and the photos
