    isn't it external on the 850 but internal on later cars, think they changed it on S70's didn't they.

    what about drive shafts etc, i know the bearings/hubs are the same but what about spline where the shaft goes into the diff. I'm going to fit an 850 diff so i guess that will sort it anyway? Are all the shift mechanisms the same, ie will the 850 cables fit onto the S60 box

    Also wondering this, the S60R ratios aren't great for 1/4 mile (if thats the intention?)

    I think he has found a Volvo M56LK by the sounds of things.

    The ratios are excellent for drag racing..37.58mph in first, 66.85 mph in Second, 106.74 mph in thrid, 146.00 mph in fourth and 195.41 mph in 5th.
    Arguing is pointless....she may not be right but she's never wrong

    Tell her a remap is just having your satnav updated.....

    not quite as good as the M56LK, its a gamble finding the correct one with the 3.57 final ratio instead of the 4.25. This one's not on my list Emlyn but does

    1st = 35.48
    2nd = 62.97
    3rd = 101.97
    4th = 138.25
    5th= 185.04

    & thats before i raise the rev limiter lol

    Not bad but I dont think it is any good for you to be honest. I would imagine a box on a 4.45 final ratio would be better suited as I fear you will end up needing to change gear into fourth before the end of the strip and it will cost you a few tenths.

    Assuming that is that acceleration is what your after.

    with the weight loss i don't think acceleration will be a problem, i'm after the higher speed so less changes. Once i get a TT & set the limiter@7000rpm (think the engine should take that) it will do

    1st=38.21
    2nd=67.82
    3rd=108.85
    4th=148.89
    5th=199.28

    i'll pm you with the new ratios/details, but it will self destruct in 5seconds lol

    I would dearly love to see BT max out at 199. It would certainly be a sight.

    Infact seeing BT do 1mph would be astounding to be honest. Is it concreted onto the driveway?
