Lightbulb How to replace an 850 pollen filter in pictures

    1. Remove 3 torx-head screws on nearside scuttle-tray front.

    2. Remove 3 nuts from strut-brace where fitted and raise about a foot.

    3. Remove hose and clip for scuttle tray drain.

    4. Raise scuttle tray and reach down to remove filter and holder.

    5. Carefully unclip filter from filter holder.

    6. Replace filter.

    7. Reverse process.

Filter cost about £10 on Ebay.

Allow about ten minutes for the job.

TBH I didn't even know I had one until someone on here mentioned it! So I am looking forward to the extra purity and volume of air next time the blower is on! And changing the blower is the next task as it has an annoying squeal.

The number for the filter alone is 9184130 - the housing I don't know. I suggest a trip to the breakers or else put a wanted post up here.

Nice work Phil, and now you have a nice clean filter again. My heater motor used to make a squeaking noise, only started doing it a month or so previously, then one day it stopped all of a sudden.....when the heater motor blew up! lol I'd replace it as soon as you can as it will only fail when you need it...

Possibly but a very tight squeeze and brace removal is really easy.

Flat-out. You may find the blower will be quiet now. Our motor on the V70 was making a right noise and the AC not cooling like it should along with a lot of misting up inside. New pollen filter and hey presto all the above went away.
