    me7 exhaust manifold query

    hello all can anybody tell me if this is the angled or straight flange , cheers james

    That's the manifold, it's the turbo that has a straight or angled flange

    ive just paid £40 inc postage for this,i knew the turbo to manifold flanges were straight and angled and for sum reason i thought these were angled aswel lol

    ive had my turbo off already but i was wondering if the turbo could come out with the manifold attatched??

    Yes, I did mine about a fortnight ago, then I had to take it all back off again because one of the manifold gaskets fell on the floor

    cheers for replies , ive never had anything to do with the manifold on the 850 before am i right in thinking there is five individual gaskets?? excuse my ignorance lol

    Yea, on my second attempt I used insulating tape to hold them on to the manifold, as soon as I started the car the tape just burnt off.

    i was thinking of wheeling the beggar up and painting it before fixing it on . also did you have any problems getting the nuts off? the thought of shearing studs and spinning bolts is worrying me lol

    touch wood, every job I do on this car goes well, whoever owned it before me realy looked after it, it's a pity it's not ever going to get that kind of care again..lol

    ive done quite a bit of work on mine but i do drive her hard , sum of my mates think im daft having a volvo and working on it all the time.i really need to take them for a ride...they dont understand how good these cars are??
