    chipping the R

    hey guys i was wondering if anyone could help me,today i enquired to rica about chipping the old R what benefits i would gain and the price, he said he just needed the ecu and not the whole car for a few days! now i dont know too much about this sort of thing but i thought you set up the car as well one the ecu was programmed? any feed back would be great please chap's ust like to know a little more about getting it done.

    You are getting custom mapping and generic off the shelf maps mixed up mate,

    Call Hamish at HLM he has mapped all of my Volvos over the Years and they have all been great..

    looks like i'll visit hamish then seeing as i got quoted 300 off rica.thanks guys really appreciate the help. just one more thing, i have a mbc would it be better than the bcs?

    Dont believe the HLM map is the same as the stage 1 Rica map anymore. The Rica one was updated (Turbo Tuner can confirm) and apparently its different (Flying Moose can confirm).
