    What size tyres

Has anyone got replica pegs fitted to a 850 and if so what tyres are you using.

I have a set of replica pegs fitted to mine and there isn't a great deal of clearance on the front, rears are fine. The tyres are 235/40/18

Biggest size you can comfortably run using genuine Pegs on an 850 is 225/35 18- that will still rub the plastic bolt off the rear arch liner and ride terribly!

You have the standard size tyre for a P2.

The offset on genuine Pegs is also different to most rep Pegs- that will affect clearance also.

you do realise its illegal to have wider tyres on the front than on the rear

You learn something new everyday. I am assuming however as many RWD BMW's come like this that you can have wider tyres on the rear than those fitted to the front ie 225's at the front and 265's at the back.
Arguing is pointless....she may not be right but she's never wrong

The correct tyre for the 18 inch rim is 225/35/18

yeh wider on the rear is fine, you can even have a bigger diameter on the rear (new MR2's have mismatched sizes) but the same rule applies
