    knock from front end

right I've replaced both cv joints, drop links, wishbones and the suspension struts and springs and I'm getting a knock when on full lock left.
It only does it at low speed forwards or backwards. I've checked and re-checked everything and all seems well.
I even had it in the garage today to make sure I wasn't being a numpty and missing something and they can hear the knock but can't find anything either!

It only does one knock. No clicking or anything else. Just one knock and thats it. The only thing the garage suggested was the sub frame bushes had a little bit of play in them especially the front right one, but also said there wasn't enough play to make it an m.o.t failure.

Its doing my head in and annoying as hell. Any ideas? I wanted to get it up for sale this week but don't want to with this. Once this is solved she is right as rain!

Yeah, when I replaced the struts (less than 6 months ago) I replaced all the suspension parts. All bushes, nuts, springs seats, top mounts, everything.

I did suspect it could be a failed top mount, but I only changed the springs a couple of weeks ago and they seemed fine then.

Just been searching through some posts and think this could possibly be a lock stop issue?
I did forget to mention that it only does it when the car is on the ground. Quiet as a mouse when jacked up, and it doesn't do it when stationary only going very slowly on full lock left.
Well its nowt of a job to whack some copper grease on the lock stops to see if it stops it But any other ideas more than welcome.

yep looks like its the stop lock. Greased em up and the knock is still there but a lot less prominant. Could be the carrier arm has got bent slightly? Or the camber slightly out on one side?

I've got a polybush top mount ut no idea about the others? Are there 2 lower engine mounts?
Looking at the front of the car its looks to me like the passenger side wheel (the side thats catching the stop lock) has too much positive camber. The other side looks straight. My passenger side tyre also looks like its beginning to wear on the outside.
Am I right in thinking too much positive camber would make the hub carrier catch the stop lock more as it angled in towards it?
