    replacement steering wheel issue

hello since i replaced a worn dated steering wheel for a better one ive noticed when i turn the wheel left past the central point when the wheels are straight it feels slightly heavy for a split second has anybody got any ideas what could be causing this?

possible power steering on way out? fluid is ok

could it be a problem with the steering wheel or even steering rack or coloumn?

any help would be much apreciated

    cheers james

    ,.,

if the wheel has been replaced then im assuming you didnt turn or move the ribbon behind it,as that is only desighned to move a certain amount,
have you got the srs or airbag light up on dash since doing the job,
if not then maybe something is rubbing or interfering with its movement.

can you feel anything through the indicator stalk when you turn the wheel and get the problem,
maybe the self cancel is interfering or faulty.

seems odd that this happens after your wheel change,,,what condition is your fluid in,as this can have an effect on steering.

all sorted now matey , when i removed the old wheel and fitted the other one i noticed a spring washer on my lap so i added spring washer but this was making the wheel gradually come loose and cause the weird hard spot on turning

been for a long run and all fine no problems

god knows if this spring washer is part of the assembly?

does yours have a spring washer?
