    Smile Trip to Brand's Hatch

Spent a very nice day up at Brand's Hatch yesterday for the BARC Club Championship. Only £26 for two adults - kids go free - which was really good value for a day's entertainment. Not crowded at all, and free access to the paddock. Kids were well chuffed when Amanda Black invited them to have a sit in the driver's seat of her Caterham - which she later drove hard until having got up into 3rd, collided at Druids with a sideways competitor. Ho hum.
Was a nice friendly meet, all in all.
Great battle in the classic BTCC between Rover SD1 and Mk1 Capri too.

Should get a VPCUK representation at one of these events - there was a nice Essex/Kent Classic Forum stand there.

Also to be seen in a gold Honda CR-V these days...

If I can be there I will! And at £10 (in advance) a ticket and free kids admission, has to be a bargain. Would be good to see the flying tank.

Pmsl! That just about sums up that weekend!

Hopefully with few mods being done over the next 2 weeks, I should be able to slipstream the crane and pass into paddock hill! Lol

I am planning on booking some tickets for Sunday 5th June. Will come and cheer you on. If anyone else wants to come down to see Johnny we could have a mini-meet - advance booking is only £10 per adult.

Nothing booked yet so will try to come on the Saturday. Will there be an open paddock as far as you know?

Anyone else seriously interested in going?

Bloody hell that's a cheap day out. lots to do and see.

It's not on the same scale, but I just seen a local company offering a ferry trip from Weston to Flat Holm Island in the Bristol Channel. Where you can walk around and get crapped on by the gull population. They want £25 a head and £16 for kids plus a £5.50 a head landing fee. Just imagine 6 hours of dodging gulls and getting bored, watching paint dry would be more interesting.

Give me a day at Brands or Long Marston anytime.

By the way that is a very tasty looking 850 you have there sir, drool
