    Smile s70 2.5 turbo

    hi folks
    found a s70 2.5 turbo in the trader anybody know what bhp etc it is and if there any good ?
    brothers chasing a volvo

    Not 100% but its around the 170/180bhp mark low pressure turbo, Dacvolvo got 1 and loves it

    Yep that sounds about right it will be the lpt (Low Pressure Turbo)version

    Although avoid it if its the 2.5 10 valve as these engines are not much cop when compared to the 20 valve variants

    Not sure if you can tune them up much as the engines are not built to take such high pressures as the T4 T5 and T6 engines something to do with pistons and con rods

    If its a 20 valve and under 100000 miles with full service history then i`d seriously have a look otherwise leave em to it

    Hi, Guys

    Yup... as Fraz says; I love my S70.

    The 2.5T has an official listing from Volvo of 193bhp. A RICA chip takes this upto 240bhp.

    To be honest, though - I'd go for a T5 as they're very slightly quicker and you get more mpg from them.
