    abs/tracs lites on...

hi,wonder if anyone can give me any pointers before i start spending money!!
had my abs ecu repaired by volvotech in salisbury and when refitted, lights went off...result!!!! ...for 3 days!
in the mornings,i trundle down the road, ecu resets, lights go off and stay off..
then i pull up that day or next day, lights back on...
and then it all repeats over again!!

    dodgy sensor?
    ecu not repaired properly?

    hheeeeeelllllllppppp.....before i ebay it!!!!!
    thanks in advance!!!!!

If you've already had the ecu repaired then get the codes read, it could just be a sensor.

Might be worth calling volvotech and seeing what they have to say. They should offer to re-do it. Sounds like they may have missed something.

Take bulbs out for abs and tracs and wire them to em light, so when ign is switched on, all lights come on an off as they should

Engine management light - little picture off an engine that lights up when the ign is turned on then goes out. Wire all 3 together and Mr. Mot inspector thinks all is as it should be be glad you don't have a P2, they have a lcd screen that tells you, in great detail, when abs and tracs goes funny.

Obviously, I wouldn't recommend doing anything like that. (a bit of tape to insulate the tracs abs bulbs from their fitting, then 2 bits of wire to connect them to the em bulb)
You've got 2 weeks, see if volvotech will sort it for you.

I hope it'll be on the bay to fund a nice ex plod T5 (you know, those ones with a turbo )
Seriously tho, volvotec should re-do it for you for free or refund and if you tell them the mot is due, they should sort it quick.
    Good luck mate.
