    Apexi AVC-R

Seriously thinking of getting one of these....very seriously.......anyone got one? I wanna set it right so that when it hits 3,500rpm+ I get 22psi+....i.e. wanna max out the boost but let electronics control when it comes in, what gear and how much

I love the idea that you can program the boost for particular gears, rpm levels etc.....

I've got one to put on mine, paid £160 for it

But, I'm in two minds to use it, as the TT ecu wouldn't have full control

I'V been looking on and off for one of these for a few months now, very rarely see them go for less than £200 quid.

Think i saw them for sale brand new from japan for about £320, but was a bit concerned about buying from japan and didn't know about any import taxes.

I'v said it before, you have to be quick on here!

TT is the turbo tuner ecu that lets you custom map the car by yourself or get anyone to do it.

Its expensive, but worth it if you can afford it.

Its not the newest type, looks like this: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/for...xi-super-avcr/

TT ECU, Turbo Tuner, its a re-mappable ECU for volvos: http://www.turbo-tuner.co.uk/

If it does all I need it too, its not that expensive

i've got one in BT & yes they are brilliant, so many features on it & not that bad to work once you've had a play for 5minutes

i'm getting a Turbo Tuner as well, but no offence i'll still be using the Apexi to control the boost as its got more gadgets

Yeah most of the cheaper ones i'v seen looked a bad way.
When i was 1st looking for one, i saw a good 2nd hand one for £200, but thought i should wait for a cheaper one, BIG mistake! lol

If you get a new one for £320, let me know how it goes, may go for a new one myself.

i've never messed with actuators, but the Apexi won't be able to lower the boost any lower than what the actuators set to

You can get an RPM dependant Gizzmo sbc unit for £240ish delivered IIRC. I know of a friend using one with a T3/T4 hybrid Garrett on a Ford and it works well. May be worth a look. The HKS EVC 5 and 6 models are excellent also.
