Egg Crate Grille

A few Sundays ago we were coming back from Fleetwood towards the M55 when I spotted a V70 at a set of lights, waiting to turn right across the traffic.

What I found remarkable was that this '03 Nautic Blue estate car was sporting an S60 style grille not the 'chromium grin' of the standard car. I am absolutely sure that this was not an R - unless they came with Amalthea wheels - nor was it an S60 bumper transplant. The grille looked standard, complete with Iron Mark and grille slash, a chrome edge and the gunmetal insert. The foglamps were V70, too.

I've wanted one on my car for 5 years but even when I had access to VIDA could never work out which grille fitted instead.

Anyone got any ideas? I'm stumped.
