    oil in middle spark plug 850 t5

    ive got oil in my middle spark plug, and all over the top of the engine when i took the cover off. there hasnt been any blue smoke or anything.. has anyone got any ideas what it could be? also whats this hole a close up in the 2nd pic of it with oil t in it?

    you'll need a new seal on the oil filler cap mate

    i put one on a about a month ago mate, but didnt check all that till tonight.... you reckon thats what it could of been?

    thats normally what it is, having already replaced it would explain the smallish amount as its stopped & most has drained out. The drain hole is at the back of the block & normally drips the oil onto the manifold/turbo so surprised you haven't seen a little bit of smoke

    no smoke at all mate, but it has been drippin oil and that.... you got any ideas what the little hole is in the 2nd pic?

    i remember someone asking about it many years ago, but can't remember what a knowledgable person said it was (got a vague feeling it was something to do with something put on engines destined for Italy, but not even 10% sure on that one)

    ah ok cheers mate .. looks like i need a new lead for the middle plug to, so will pop to the scrapyard for one of those tomorrow as the other 4 aint that old

    The hole is to do with a breather pipe on some N/A engines
