    Was the punto remapped ?

Put your mobile phone on your dash and record and then time your 30-70 time, should be in the 6-8 second range or thereabouts - mines 5.4, if it's more than 8 you know something is probably up with your car.

At what speed did you try and have a play from?
Turbo diesel cars have alot of torque and through the mid range they can be pritty fast.

There is quite a few companies round now that play around with Diesel tuning.
There's a tuned Fabia vRS in Exmouth that's just silly, It shouldn't be allowed.

First lesson of remapping - it's never what the brochure says!

What he ^^ says. My s70r has no problem with most diesels and its only got 4 gears and the turbo only runs at 10psi.

Seriously though, your gonna need some acceleration times to see if your car is slower than it should be or if it was a modded diesel.

I once got thrashed by a 'standard' edition 30 golf GTI - went on the forums, asked about and turned out the guy was running over 360bhp
