PS if you do buy it, reconnect the white plastic vac pipe on the slam panel as it'll be leaking boost, & the boost gauge will work then

WOODY T5 (Wednesday 30th March 2011)
tbh way too high priced my dads just bought a mint v70t5 with full service history and only 98k for that also the ammount of work thats been carried out on the v70 is increadble with new air con system just had timing belt tensioners water pump done 3months ago all new brakes and loads more
That's some clean motor, looks like a professional valet.
Car prices seem to be all over the place at the moment
Just found this R for less money if link works

Yes it seems a good one but as Pete and Kee said, its overpriced, I think so too, if it was a grand'ish I'd have thought about it because after all....25000 later your at 200thou! (thats if it is at 175 and not "78/79")
Iamselling my T5 V70 with 118,500 plus VSH upto 80,000 confirmed by Volvo Uk, runs like a dream and is still really quick ....This is £1200.
The 850r i put on above looks not a bad buy, does look like its needs a good Valet but looks an Honest car, has good history as well, the basics are there...

I have a V70 t5 and a V70R .... TBH the interior in the R is a lot nicer, the styling also, plus the alloys are better, performance wise the R feels a lot more aggresive also its lower by about an 1" so handles and feels a lot firmer..i cant answer on an 850 but would imagine similar..in my opion i much prefer the R, plus they hold there money alot better and worth more....so i would say the R is a lot better. or put it this way i am selling my T5 which i was keeping and now keeping the R....

The good thing about buying the likes of stephenevans99's old car is you'll know it's been well looked after and you can check on any past problems where as one you're buying off Ebay is an unknown quantity.
You can even PM him and check if there's anything that'll need doing in the near future (he's got no reason to bullsh*t you )

Ok....is the T5R or 850R the same car or no.....I may be in touch about yours
Has anyone mentioned the wheels yet?
No...The T5R was made for one year only and are very sort after.....someone on here tho would be better at telling the differences than me...but i think the T5r was more powerful, but i know these fetch a lot more money than a 850R and genuine ones are quite rare....
