Will cause the turbo to overheat!

There no air around there to cool it, why was it suggested?

Exactly, what was the point of removing the water cooling from the turbo?, all that's going to do is cause it to over heat and seize up, there's no benefit from removing it.

    thats a no then!! lol

was suggested to keep the water temp down. some of the other guys just run the oil through the turbo and seem ok.

thanks for a very swift and definitive answer!

the waters getting hot for a reason, because its cooling the turbo lol.

if their worried about the water getting too hot wouldn't it be an idea they invest in a better radiator

I have no idea (yet) how hot the water will get.
at Snett it was fine, never watched it go over half way on the dash.
Will hopefully start to wind up the BHP very soon,so that might change things,
but we'll have to suck it and see.

A couple of short vids from the racing at Donington today (3/4/11)

When you've got it running well you should have a lot more torque than those N/A cars.

lmao, sure some people have gone to about 7.5k on the stock internals. But not sure your going to get any benefit from revving so high with such a small turbo. Can you 19t it within your race rules?

we were thinking the same thing, after 6200 not much happening.
can only run 1.3 bar(18 psi) so I have put on a 16T just to give some headroom.
as its such an arse to change the turbo, if it goes in qually..........i'm going home! lol
