    I've been banned from going anywhere nearly mine with anything flammable! I've not anywhere near trying to start it either!

    Crank or cam or coil then mate to start with, i have spares of all but couldnt you nick Sam's for a test.

    What you been messing with lol, the cam sensor and "reader" have tiny tolerances as i found out to my cost.

    if I right, the cam sensor is below the top engine mount????

    we fired her up without any jubilee clips on the air system,so last night i just went back in and put the clips on, but i did mess with some plugs...

    Thats correct, there are only three conntectors in this area too, the cam which is white if I remember corrrectly, the crank sensor and the PTC Sensor.

    Assuming you havnt phyiscally removed the cam sensor then there should be no reason for it to be the case, with James it was the little black reader that had a nip out of it but thats internal behind the sensor itself.

    Yep your right thats the cam, also the connectors/plugs are fragile too lol, get a mutli meter on and check you have a signal on the loom side, check this 1st as if its failed no matter how many sensors you try they wont work!!.

    panic over!!!!!

    curiousity got the better of me and I had to back to the garage.
    I checked all the plugs and leads and found the plug to the sensor over the flywheel was loose. it was in, but loose. a cable tie will sort that.

    thank **** for that!
