if you've already got a 3" downpipe a decent exhaust manufacture (Powerflow, Longlife, Custom Chrome) should be able to adapt your current one. Its only cutting the angle different & weld on the 3" flange, assuming they didn't do the bend in 2.5" on your current pipe

I know it is probably a daft question, but have you had the car laser aligned since having the ARBs fitted? It is absolutely vital - and in the period before and after I had IPD ARB fitted, and the alignment done, the car was all over the shop. HOWEVER, wait to get the polybushes on before you have this done (actually should not alter the angles - but if there is slack in the existing ones that you later replace, this will affect the alignment) as it is a bit pricey to have done properly: Truckalign or similar. Same goes for any other bush swapping on the suspension. What damping and springing you got there?
And how do you find the Toyos? Although I only have 215/40/17 Vredesteins, they are a very 'narrow' 215, and also very rigid. I think going too wide allows too much sidewall flex.

Doesn't matter how you get to the front, just as long as you do lol

There were far too many BMWs in Project 8, needed pruning

If you can put up with increased vibration through the cabin you can replace lots of flexible rubber bushes at the front for firmer items. The subframe bushes can be replaced for Delrin bushes, so can the upper engine mounts and tie box mount. These are good upgrades over standard if your on track a lot which it seems you are. You can buy a later model angled downpie from the States off ebay for around £140 then have an inter mediate section made up between the downpipe and cat back with either a cat or straight through section depending on the series regulations. Buying this complete exhaust system would work out cheaper after import taxes than the JT downpipe and you could sell the complete system on as your only after one of the downpipes that come with it http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OBX-T...Q5fAccessories

we think the springs are too strong so the dampers are not doing their job, topped off with an IPD ARB,the front is pretty stiff.

gonna try and soften everything up
got a trackday lined up next week, to see if we can get to the bottom of it

The angled downpipes from those kits come up on the forums at times for around £120 but you will need to remove or alter the crash guard between the downpipe and steering rack for them to fit clear without rubbing. If you do buy an exhaust you can resell it on ebay over here to cover a lot of the price you paid if not the full amount you need back.
