just for the sake of it and to keep my spirits up,
I put some more bits on the car today

then I started to investigate why the seat seemed to be down on 1 side

    and found this:

a crease in the tunnel behind the handbrake

figuring the cage runs above that area, fingers crossed its not a problem.
I still think she gonna need a visit to a jig though........ho hum

I'm off to the fridge for multiple lagers! lol

i think the seat fix is easy, keep off the pies & a bit of exercise won't hurt

i'm sure it'll be alright, probably just needs a bit of strengthening in the floor pan

Just finished reading this thread from the start. I was referred here from T5D5 where I was asking for info on developing a T5 for racing!

Thought I was being clever doing something nobody else had done! Oh well, found this thread really interesting and loads of useful info on what im currently doing. The car is in the strip down and cage fabrication stage at the moment. I can see it taking a good year to 18 months to finish!

I am looking to enter the Clasisc Sports Car Club future classics series, but the regs appear to be roughly the same as Project 8, so development will probably be pretty close to your car.

I will start a thread shortly.

    Welome,

"doing something nobody else had done!" thats sounds farmiliar?? lol
that would be cool to see 2 out there, You building an 854 or 855?

once the cage is in,putting it back together doesn't really take that long, depending on spec of course.

I'll look forward to reading your thread.

And mines a 95 in bits hoping one day to look something like the 95!

Has your race season ended now then JT?

Would be interested to know if you plan any winter testing.

Not circuit racing as such, but used to sprint a Clio 172 Cup.

If you start at 2:50 it gives you an idea of what sprinting the Clio was like!

This year is over for me, only 1 more meeting at Brands on the 12th Nov.
The car wont be ready for that (although I will be there!), but as soon as its back in piece,I'll be testing, dont worry about that! lol

Good Vids, shame about the roll, but thats motorsport!
Your not really a stanger to a race car then, this was my first year, only got my licence the day before my first race! lol
I had better pull my finger out or you'll be off in the distance!
