Just thinking that the clearance between cover and cams might be very tight. Hence suggesting that maybe you could try progressively tighten one of the offending one and see at what point it licks up. You maybe able to hear if it starts to knock on the cover.

    Just a small update

Having spoken to a few people/engineers, it would appear that the heads are twisted. doh!

Apparently they can be machined, but it doesn't sound like a cheap operation.

So I'll carry on with the 1 good one I do have, so after being surfaced, started to build it up again

What size turbo you got on that JT, glad to see you using the 3" angled flange hot side, a massive improvement over the other td04 hot sides, just about to fit one to the Gul with a 3"dp into olives old jetex/BSR cat back system. Just had to knock up a couple of exhaust flanges for it, as you don't seem to be able to find them anywhere...!!Name: IMG-20210414-WA0000[1].jpg

Is water/meth injection allowed, could give massive edge to tuning if it is, you could push that 19t along way if it was allowed.

I don’t think it’s mentioned in the regs, I’ll have to check, but having witnessed 3 mechanics on fire, wondering what was going on, I’m not a fan

I run it as a 50/50 mix, think you'll have a job to ignite that outside a combustion chamber, but it does a fantastic job in helping to control detonation.

Think I've asked this before but can't find it, what ecu are you using factory or aftermarket? Also are you running a distributor or COP?
1996 Olive Green 850 AWD - Follow the Project - Forged rods, 19T, big blue injectors, 960 TB, 3.25" MAF, Ostrich, 608 binary, arduino data display, active exhaust control with Focus RS tips, 320mm front brake conversion.
1996 Nautic Blue 850 AWD - Failed its MOT, now it's a donor for the green thing.
2004 Sapphire Black S60 D5 - The new daily hack.

TTuner at the mo, but that will be swapped when funds allow.
And still old school and using dizzy

Got 6 hours in the garage today, so removed what was left of the old engine, swapped ancillaries, clutch and gearbox to new engine and put that back in, quite frankly, I'm knackered!
hopefully get everything connected up this week and see what happens.........

From my understanding is the 6+6 billet wheel makes its boost lower down the rev range compared to the 11 blade billet wheel makes it boost higher up the rev range.

I'm running a 6+6 billet wheel in my K24 and I easier have a bar of boost at 3000rpm
