    well we're gonna find out!!

picked up another bare engine this morning,3 hour round trip, got it back and started on it straight away.
T5 Stealth to the rescue yet again! thanks mate! stealth put all the cams back together for me as that sort of stuff is way over my head!! lol
then I proceeded to bolt on as many things as could before I ran out of energy!
Sam took the opportunity to bolt on some shiny bits too!!
tomorrow,i'm hoping to get the box fitted and get it back in the car,so maybe Monday will be start up day!

so fingers crossed, if it runs,It will be at trax! We might only get a few laps before something bends, but it'll be fun trying!!

    well Its catch up time

as its been over a year since my last update................

Ok, Trax 2012, the car sat in the garage doing nothing, for quite a while
The opportunity to run the GP circuit at Silverstone in 2013( little did I know at the time ), was too good to miss!

So, I brought an engine stand and set to work

Fit these in was the first job

    then start to rebuild,
I fitted a ported head and modified cams and
Painted a couple of bits, tidy things up

put all this back in the race car, to find it wouldn't start. so I take it all back out again and try again.

whilst the engine was out, I was trying to think of a way I could run this engine in, should I get it started
Then someone came up with the question" shame you don't have something road legal you could put the engine in???!!"
    what a cracking idea!!!

so I put the engine in Black, it still wouldn't start at this point, but it was in....
I went back to standard cams......no joy
I went back to a standard head and standard cams and it started first time

I will take a look at the ported head when I get chance, but for now its running and I needed to get some miles on the engine.

500 miles later, at a painfully slow speed, the weekend came to swap it back to the racecar.
I'm getting quite good at this now,4 hours from floor to car and running!!

so at this point the idea, was to go to Trax, via a rolling road on the Saturday.
but, the pc would not talk to the ecu
Sam spent many hours trying to get it work, and with Adams help, it finally worked at 11:21am Saturday morning, 9 mins before we were due to leave!! phew

load it all up and drive to Dartford.
at this point I'm starting to get really nervous, after all, I've never built an engine before and it was about to be given a shake down..............

well after a few problems and technical hitches, 3 hours later, we finally managed this:

its not perfect, but at the time, it will do! lol

I think we all know what happened at Trax, except what actually went wrong, so I wont go into that.

anyway a list of the mods on my car to date:
