850 auto box info

had to swop my t5 autobox a while ago for 1 out of a 2.5 20v and im forever getting fault codes for the box does anybody know if the 2 boxes have different ecus it drives fine but sometimes get a kind of boost stall for about 2 secs under hard acceleration between gears mainly between 2nd and 3rd any info would be great

Im sure they have different ratios appart from that it all depends on which motronic system it came from

ok thanks mate only reason its got a 2.5 box in it was because its a early model t5 with the speedo pick up on the bottom of the box and the proper boxes are like hens teeth was told at the time it was the nearest type box ratio wise

if you want a 850r box i,m doing a manual conversion very soon cheers stuart...................

yes mate had it 3 years looks bit tatty now close up but runs a1

dont fancy doing the gear box again but thanks for the offer allready changed it 3 times because of a knackerd rad lol
