Angry Bloody Sky, BT Phone lines

Well back on line after 5 days of no phone line or internet...Started off saturday night with hardly any internet connection and a phone line with more crackling than a pork joint....Sunday all dead
So we phone Sky (via Mobile) as we had changed our line etc to them..after 30 mins of waiting we get thru to Sky Bombay office were this indian chap who i can hardly understand tells me not sky s problem but is my phone...so i try 5 phones and he still tells me its my phone...anyway after a lot of abuse and losin my rag in general my wife takes over and finally he agrees it is an outside fault will get the engineers out in 24hrs....well obviously 24hrs is either very slow or means something totally different in Bombay because they finally turn up today and after 3 hours of testing inside my house decide the fault is outside...Doohhhhh..told them that as they turned up... Had to put in brand new cableing from the mast to my house, after discovering it was about 20 years old and went thru several trees that had shorted it out....
Well, nice to be back and if i have nt answered anyones posts from things i have posted, you now know why. But gonna check thru about 5 days worth of posts now an see what i have missed....Just drives me mad that Sky, BT etc blame everything on you ( could of bought another 3 phones ) rather than just run a simple check and save the hassle.....
Well after all that im back... Maybe a good thing or Bad LOL

Sounds about right lol I wondered where you'd got to mate- thought you might have been having 2nd thoughts about your R and bought a proper one (850R) and were too embarrassed to come back and tell us

We have to put up with Orange over here- absolutely hopeless most of the time.
The future's not bright...its a manky orange colour!

Telecomms companies and their call centers seem uniquely frustrating!!
