You almost certainly will not need the top mount (the second item you listed) - they are not prone to failure.

You would be wise to replace the spring seats if you have them out, although personally I would replace them with XC90 spring seats from Volvo (or ipd ones) and not the Scantech parts you listed.

    XC90 part number is 30683637 (x2)

For sake of £50.00 a corner, why not replace the bearings while doing the rest? Seems crazy to me.

Sort of agree with Yosser (the bearings last OK) - and somewhat with Bruce (in for a penny, etc) - but either way, the rubber bit is best bought from Rufe at FRF Volvo. I have heard too much about Scantech to think that it is being anything more than being pennywise and pound foolish

You may well be able to afford to piss £100 of your money on replacing perfectly serviceable parts, but not everybody can.

And, FWIW, Rufe advised me that he very rarely ever sells the bearings - that was good enough for me.

Well, id rather strip the suspension leg down and have 2 new bearings just incase the rubber mount and bearings are knackered, saves me been without a car for x amount of days while you get the parts.

It's not that often that we sell the support plates, but we do sell them from time to time, but they are much less prone to failing as the spring seats. You can look at the above arguement both ways really.

We have been selling the XC90 version (when asked, as it was never an official or proven modification) for a good few years, and very recently Volvo have caught up with us, as they have just replaced the part number for the standard ones to the XC90 version so now you can only buy the XC90 version.

For around £3 more per side than the Scantech versions you can have the genuine Volvo ones we supply, and seeing as I checked the postage on that site and its around £2 or £3 more than we would charge for postage, its hardly any difference at all.
