i need a front brake hose for my 850 and i see that ones for a v70 are about half the price on ebay.does anyone know if their the same?

Thats odd! I can't see why not, I'm using V70R one on mine, and they fit ok
Try a local motor factors too, probably get it cheaper and quicker.
