Fitting a Spoiler to a V70 1998

Hi all, trying to fit a spoiler to my 1998 V70 . Now sprayed and ready to fit , but I need to position it right first time ,because of the adhesive tape.

Cannot remember how the brackets were positioned/fixed on the tailgate.
As they have a piece of rubber lining, they don't just sit right it seems? why Volvo could not have utilized one or both the tailgate screws to position the brackets ?? or do they?

Could anyone post a picture of the siting of the brackets ,I am using numberplate tape as Volvo wanted £26 for a fixing kit, so a need to set it right first time. Thanks Kim

Thanks ,I did try search .....on here and voc but must have not hit the right key/phrase wording thanks for the link .....strange how they never used screws or a locater/retainer for the tailgate fixing?? I will have a go tomorrow rain permitting . Thanks Kim
