    Headlight options

Evening all and a happy new year to one and all

In a nutshell the headlights on my S70R are pants. As the reflectors seem ok I have fitted brighter bulbs but they are still pretty crap.

So what are my options ?

    Hi Mac

Hid kit is a great upgrade as are the crystal lights as Volvokid says they look superb too.

Same as me mate, they are almost pointless, like 2 candles in jars!
I'm going for the crystal lights off the 2003 c70, they are more expensive than the aftermarket projectors but i think they suit the car better and help make the car look a bit more up to date.
The only problem is they are quite expensive because you can only get them from volvo. (well, i can't find them anywhere else)

I guess the C70 option is the best way to go as a straight like for like swop.

Can't remember off the top of my head, but it was over £300 brand new (when i was looking a while back). The projector headlights are about £260, but just don't look as good and as i'll be keeping my car fo a loooooooong time (hopefully), i'd rather spend the money and it get exactly how i want it.

I will say one thing if you think there bad try a new C70 with xenon lights, from factory they are set dangerously low on dipped beam, full beam is perfect but boy does your ass twitch on dipped.
    Thanks

    Hi.
Same as volvokid I fitted the crystal headlight units and indicators from the C70. Best price from Rufe at FRF Volvo. I then fitted a decent HID kit from www.hids4u.co.uk with H7R bulbs which have a shield that gives a light pattern similar to a standard bulb so no glare to oncoming drivers.
1997 Volvo S70 2.5T CD. RICA 235 remap. Volvo front strut brace. Late C70 clear headlights, indicators and grille. HID bulb upgrade. Columba 16" wheels.

Never be afraid to try something new.
