    Cutting out

    Hi,

    How cold at the moment!!!

Very so often I'll be slowing down for a junction & it just cuts out. Unable to restart until i turn over with the fuel pump fuses removed & replace once fires.

Is this a fuel pump problem or the reply?

    Thanks.

    Chris.

    Relay you mean

You could be running rich due to the cold start function. The temp sensor CTS needs the heat from the water/engine to have a reading. If the thermostat is jammed, then the CTS is not sensing much heat. What's the temp gauge saying ? The relay can also be permanently latched and it's feeding too much fuel into the fuel rail but if the fuel regulator is working well (plus the vacuum pipe is fully secured), then the effect is not as great. So things to check : thermostat, relay, fuel regulator.

    Thanks for your REPLY

The temp is fine, only happens once or twice a month. Normally happens when the car is upto temp. I do alot of short journeys, stopping & starting.
It will happen within a min or so after setting off.

    I will check the above.

    Thanks again.

    C.
