Ok it seems I should keep it then.

I just been out and realised its got a re-circ blanking plate but no dump valve? What in gods name!!!

I have another problem now too, the car pulls fine and runs well until.... you boot it the boost guage moves and it appears to boost but the car shudders almost like the wheels are madly unbalanced or the anti-lock brakes are kicking in. Its neither obviously but annoying. Going to try standard ecu see what happens and if not must be a boost leak.

    What do you chaps think?

Mines got a recirc blanking plate with no dump valve and has had for about 2 years now. I recently fitted a new turbo and the old one when removed had no play to speak of in the shaft and no oil consumption or smoking issues so not a major issue with the boost these run on standard or mildly modded states.

The boost gauge is showing boost increasing ok though?

Obviously my hands arent on the steering wheel you you sure it isn't feedback from the blast of torque to the wheels?

    Yes showing increasing boost.

Just swapped ECU's for a standard one took it out and did the same.

Its definately not torque steer either. Best way to say I suppose is it just isnt running right lol.

I think new spark plugs and double check all boost pipes but they all seem intact and in good condition.

On the vibration issue, now mine has the main silencer off, you can feel a slight vibration at idle. So if you've got a sports exhaust with a poly engine mount, perhaps together they are the cause.

Yeah Im hoping thats the case I have tried everything else now nearly!

Just need to sort this boost shudder. Car drives perfect just except when you put your "pedal to the metal" so to speak.

Possibly, I have put the white injectors into it, you may well be right though. Worst case new fuel pump I suppose. Ironically there is a spare fuel pump relay in the box of bits he included... wonder if this has something to do with it?

Does it take the ecu a while to "learn" the bigger injectors?

also i personally wouldnt have put the injectors in as it will be mapped for orange injectors wait untill you get a map for the injectors as at the mo they will not be benifiting you just dumpin extra fuel in

I would have thought as the Rica is a generic map it wouldnt have made that much difference just reduced the load slightly.

Im hoping it is the plugs but I inspected them and there werent excessively fouled. Its clearly an air/fuel problem though... or rather it has to be!
