Speak lee owen @ owen developments if your interested in a brand new 19t, kkk or Garrett, they are Cheaper than most places including Volvo. they will custom spec a 19t with a billet compressor wheel, they will also port the housing and all sorts of other trickery to get alot more from the turbo. Kkk are good turbos but I've found from research and mates that have had them and ran them for a long time, that they will poo the bed long before a 19t will

Based on 1000 rpm steps from 2000 rpm - this is what you would have to make in NM to bring home 380bhp...

    2000 rpm - 1353
    3000 rpm - 902
    4000 rpm - 676
    5000 rpm - 541
    5700 rpm - 475
    6000 rpm - 451
    7000 rpm - 387

It is important to realise that the torque & power curves always cross at 5252 (assuming that torque is in ft lbs).

Is that a materials problem or a design flaw?

so its a design limitation. Walls must be too thin for the higher pressure?

A friend of mines exhaust housing cracked on his kkk too, he now runs a gt3071 but advised an 18 or 19 for myself, I would love a Garett though, for me it isn't the cost of the garett itself but all the flanges, feeds, modifying ( changing plastic bearing cage for metal ones etc ) just can't justify it at the moment : (

i think so because theses problems are common so i think the 19t is a better option or even hlm hybrid is suposed to be good but i think the is heat soak issues with that turbo if pushed too far like any small to med turbo
