    It's getting better the more we run the engine, I wonder if the valve guide seals have gone hard as the engine has been standing a couple of years.
    Could very well have done they are a common problem on our cars when i burnt a valve on my original head i swaped it off another engine i had sat around for a couple of years and that smoked but never did when i first got the engine so likley with all the oil drained to the bottom the rubber goes hard or can even perish

    Greens are now on, along with the adjustable fuel pressure regulator, the car is no longer smoking (well, not strictly true, it's over-fueling at the moment until I adjust it tomorrow) so I hope to actually drive it tomorrow afternoon.

    what pressure you running on the fuel reg??


    full respray..plenty of body mods..comets..ray cat back noise pipe..decat and wrapped downpipe..me7 exhaust manifold..3" throttle body with ported inlet manifold..blue injectors..adjustable fuel reg..reverse intercooler pipework..19t..open cone air filter..255 fuel pump..m-r-p short shift..boost gauge..unknown remap..adjustable suspension..lightweight crank pulley..n/a cams..stripped out interior..and a heavy right foot

    Afraid not mate, got the fuel pressure sorted, but it's all the little things that seem to zap the time. tomorrow I need to drop the evans pre treatment and put the proper coolant in and re-fit the bonnet, then a test drive, I hope it's better than before, or all this will have been a waste of time.

    I've got to start from scratch, it won't run with any of my other maps, won't even start on the map I was using before, all my fueling figures on TT are really low compared to before.

    well, before I was running blues @ 3 bar, so I would have to put a much higher duty cycle* in. now with bigger injectors @ 3.8 bar, they don't need to squirt for as long.

    For starting alone you can consentrate on the 1st 4x4 boxes in the top left hand corner, ive done alot of work in this area lol

    Well first drive went without drama, apart from once I go past 6psi the car splutters, but it's just a case of live mapping it on the weekend
