I dont tend to drive like the 4 letter adjective much anymore......i even dont bother overtaking much unless it's really safe.......may be a different story with my new 1.2bar actuator and MBC coming this week lol

did you ever use those puncture repaired tyres?

It's always good to have plenty of power to haul you past - I think a lot of people don't overtake because basically they drive a piss slow car and it would be terrifying.

I try to drive sensibly in the Summer, but roll the windows down and hear the turbo chatter and that 5 cylinder orchestra .. and

<< you just cannae help urself!

I swapped my stock 17's for someones Medusas, so put the tyres on those - they were just 2nd hand but otherwise in perfect condition AFAIK!

So got 4 Medusas with tyres if you're interested ?

a note about posting up your speeds.

You may well be ok so long as you dont have an accident. If you have a big one and someone gets hurt and the plod suspect that you are on a forum they WILL look for your posts, they will then present them to the court to show that you have a total disregard for the laws of the road. What may have been a charge for due care or some other minor offence will then get bumped up to dangerous driving, using your posts to support their evidence.

DD is bad enough, but now imagine someone died in your accident.....

DD becomes death by dangerous driving...... and thats 5 years.

Think about it gentlemen....... 5 YEARS.

This has happened in the past, and still happens. Its why i DONT have a VPUCK sticker on my car.

    Good advice from Wegal.

I'd venture to add - those who talk about driving at stupid speeds on the road have clearly never known anyone killed in an RTA. Or if they have, they're seriously detached from real life.

Oh and that "private road" addition won't, I suspect, count for an awful lot if a proper lawyer is on your case.

Be careful and stay safe - on the road and on the Forum!

    Couldn't agree more Al.

There's no point putting yourself or more importantly others at risk on public roads.

Had a close cousin killed back in 96' Not nice. Especially when an ex and 2 mates were in the car too. They had to identify the ex from a tattoo...
We all speed to a certain extent, It's knowing when to back off.

Just to add, Why do people bother buying R32 Golfs? I had one in my Bluebird and was expecting a lot more tbh.
