Theres the M56L and the M56H or you could go for one out of an 850R which would be a M59.

So ive been told mate, M56H ( High ) and obviously M56L ( Low ) ive also been told its only 1st and 2nd that are different, you'd have to ask about to clarify that though.

you don't need acceleration in a T-5, it'll only get wasted with wheelspin

I'll second that, the last thing you need on a T5 is a shorter box !
Old Car: 855 T5 in Grey and rust (dead and gone, well, most of it !
Missus' ride: Citroen C4 coupe 1.6 HDi,
    Modifications: Nowt.....yet !
Daily driver: 855 R in Black,
Currently nursing a blown head gasket, new engine on its way !
Recent addition: Freshly imported Honda Stepwagon,
Slowly turning into a camper van !

I want a M56H for my manual conversion, 165.61mph top end where as the M56L is only 148.86.

Hopefully i'll be changing from an auto to manual after crimbo, and ive some mods to be getting on with, you know the usual stuff like the exhaust and a bigger turbo and injectors etc etc.......

Be nice to see how close to the 165mph i could get, all legally of course.

those calculations were done with the tyre size BT is having, but i doubt you'll be able to get the speeds that high because of the aerodynamics of a brick syndrome lol

Looks like they do matey, Salvo have an M56 box for sale and they state it fits all 850's between 95 - 98. Petrol and diesel. Unless they mean they have boxes for them all

Salvo 850 / V70 M56 Gearbox for petrol or tdi
