I had a decent service done before I took the 155,000 mile T5 to France last July. It was fine except that the manifold was starting to blow where it meets the cylinder head. This was diagnosed at DPA Nottingham who are very helpful.
"It's OK for now, but will only get worse" was their advice.
Sure enough, it has - so yesterday I tentatively took it back to DPA. Tentatively as I was told that if one of the bolts holding the manifold sheared off, it's game over and the cylinder head has to come off to repair...
Anyway, all good news, DPA managed to sort it without the bolts shearing or the head coming off.
Phew. Doesn't sound like a tractor now, either.
