    Question help needed please

    hi again today my c70t5 has started playing up,when i was coming to a stop it juggered the revs went down then it stalled with the arrow light on (its the one for the auto box) its done this a couple of times today but car seems to be running ok ,just hope fellow volvo heads might have an idea forgot to say the first time it did it,it was hard to start..

    Have you checked the sparplugs, airflow sensor, error codes, etc? Maybe a pipe has a split/hole. I don't think it will have anything to do with the gearbox, as you would more likely get jerky gearchanges, etc if there was a problem with the box. Suppose you could get the gearbox fluid changed if it aint been done for a while, to be on the safe side.

    cheers and thank you,does it have to go on a computer for the codes,im a noob,i havnt checked spark plugs or air flow sensor and how much will it cost?

    I think you can make your own code reader for the older 850's, not sure about the newer cars.
    When i got my s70r at the start of the year i took it to a local volvo independent specialist and asked them to give the car a good looking over, plugs, leads, pipes, suspension, etc, etc, and they only charged me £50.

    So if you don't fancy doing it yourself you could see if you have a decent independent and have a word with them, regarding the cost of giving the engine a check.
