Great news - at least for me. SHE'S BACK.

I took the pm off so that I could work with John, my mechanic to sort out the last few steps - such as putting the wheels back on. Lunch time the tyres were back on and balanced. I dropped of the wheels and drove home to get changed.

There were a few problems with the breathers under the inlet manifold - the plastic tubing had become very brittle. Almost home and the last bit broke - some where half way along - which alas entailed taking apart the fuel rail and unhooking the inlet manifold. Finally we got the last few bits back together and tried to start her - only to find she wouldn't fire. Few minutes later - much to my relief, she started up - once an erant connection to the starter motor was found.

I have to say she looks fabulous with her brand new shiny seven spoke Volans.

It has been emotional.

She needs to do 1500 miles now to break in the new box!
