    if you get a later 960 tb then you donot have the pipes on the top.i used a later 960 tb on my 940

    Got no pipes on the top of my 960t/b either.

    Hi this thread is very interesting, ive done a RIP conversion using 60mm pipe and the old rubber hoses chopped about a bit, does a 960 tb bolt directly onto a 850 t5 manifold? I would love to do this conversion somewhere along the line it looks the dogs bo*****s! I understand about having to take the inlet out to pair up to 960 tb (port it as such) but the bolt holes, do they bolt straight on? Best regards Steve

    yeh it bolts straight on, as you said it needs the manifold porting & the wires for the throttle position switch extending as the switch is rotated 90degrees on the 960
