check the other bulbs that arnt working...
if the top one is working then the switch is fine.
i think youll find you just gota replace a couple of bulbs...or check the bulb holders where they fit the light unit
hi there
one was workin the day when got to hafords took one out and replaced it with the other then they all went off ,got new bulbs and they dont work
i would check that you got the bulb holder in correctly then cos they are ££££ to change ,and so easy to fit them wrong....
and make sure you changed the stop light bulbs, not the side light bulbs
hi
got it went out again finaly found it one of the releys is we bit slack
fiddled about we it and tightned up the prongs think i might need a new reley takeit i need to go to volvo for them
hi there is a fuse box in the boot behind the nearside trim in there there are some relays its usally one of these if you get somone to work the pedal you should be able to get it to click (by feeling them you should be able to feel which one it is ) i think it would be a dealer only item hope this helps thanks steve
take the relay out give it a clean with wd40 etc and a bit of sandpaper for any tough marks then fit it in Also you could replace the fuse although there is nothing wrong looking with it it could be on it's way out Every car I buy I always replace fuses and bulbs to save hassel down the line
hi again thank for the help from u guyswill try and sorse a relay its workin for now but just
thanks again
roy
hi again any one no ware i can get one of these relays for my brake lights
thanks roy
I had a problem with my brake lights not working, it was the switch on the pedal, the contacts inside were dirty. A few minutes of cleaning and it was working fine again. It is a bit of a nightmare to remove the switch, but worth a try before going and buying anything.
