Will I have enough to make 300bhp?

Right, Ive already got an ME7 manifold to go on, a 16T is arriving shortly, planning on fitting some white injectors, and then going for a 3'' turbo back system, with decat and lastly an HLM 304, also under consideration are a walbro 255lph fuel pump.

The engine has been fully serviced and is running well, currently only non standard bits are a set of magnecor KV85 ignition leads and a K&N panel filter.

The question; Is that enough to make 300@flywheel?

I asked a few months back what i would need to get a genuine 300bhp out of my s70r auto. I was told that while i could get close, that i would have to get a bigger turbo than a 16t, (18t/19t etc) to get past the magic 300bhp mark.

Er....no, I doubt it. I had 279 bhp at the fly from a remap, a cat back exhaust and a k&n panel filter. I can't see there being any point in uprating the injectors without a custom remap to make the most of them. I think you'd probably need a bigger turbo too, something like a KKK or an 18T.

The reason I ask is because claymore on here ran his T5 with an upsolute ECU upgrade and made 284@fly and then the HLM made 280@fly on the same rolling road session, so was just wandering what the extra exhaust breathing modifications and turbo would make if any to the overall figure.

I'm sure I've heard not to use a 3" system, as you lose torque? I was under the impression that you use a 3" d/pipe in to a 2.5" system

I wouldnt have thought that mattered on a turbocharged car, I know two strokes need back pressure to run right but not 4 stroke, i may be wrong

O that friend lol, likes to brag about that but when put on the spot he said the turbo and engine had extensive work done to it,so not really a standard 15g lol.

300hp or not, it will go really well. Surely the most important factor?

extensive work, just breathing mods by the sound of it lol
Its also possible to get 300+ from the 15g with the right breathing mods.

    300bhp

As demonstrated with S70 Chris' car you can get over 300BHP with a 16T BUT he did have other supporting mods, it was a ported 16T off an ME7 T5. IIRC it made about 315BHP on an independently calibrated Maha Dyno.
