dvd stuck in RTI unit

hi , just bought another Volvo to keep my 850R saloon company,
only fault so far is the SAT NAV RTI PLAYER has a disc stuck inside,
Any simple remedy ? Or nick the TOM TOM from the 850R ?
all help appreciated

My S60 got the disk stuck in the player on the hu850 unit. No repair possible, new unit at mega bucks, sorry but i hope that there is a simpler fix for you. The ejection mech is weak on somne volvo units and they break, The replacement one has stronger internals... allegadly !

THANKS ,got a quote to check & possible repair for £ 235.00 + vat, will use an
A to Z and compass for now

I dont know if the system in the S60 is different but the V70 plays CD's in the Headunit the RTI DVD unit is located in the luggage area near side.

How do you know the disk is stuck? What message are you getting on the screen?

hello , I removed the DVD unit ,took off top cover eject mechanism plastic part broken/sheared off. Removed disc manually, unit will not accept or eject disc, monitor screens shows no disc. TV fine ,waiting for unit to be repaired
