    Question T5 C70 Scuttle Shake

Hi, just bought a really nice T5 C70 but the scuttle shake is quite pronounced. Been told that I can get a 'strut brace' to solve the issue - is this what I need? Do I need more than one? Are they a DIY fitting or do I need to get someone to fit it for me?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    hi,im assuming its a convertable.............by the pic.
a brace will help a bit but what would make it better would be a roof...lol
i dont think youll ever stop it completely but you will improve it.
they are cheap from main dealers unless someone has one on here might be cheaper....and they are very easy to fit, takes all off 10 mins to fit...

That's great - I'd welcome that to make sure I'm doing it right...I'll find a main dealer that's convenient and get one on order and let you know if I may?

    Thanks so much.

I work in Horsham so may be easier for me to get it there....guess they'l have to order it in. Ebay proces are about £80 but looks like main dealer may be cheaper and I want to make sure I buy the right thing.

    REF STRUT BRACE.

FRF (Rufe) does them for £61 or so and very quick del as well (RT Motors )on here I think.

As for fitting: 6 bolts, (if I remember right)

Yeh - just ordered today. Apparently Volvo are on holiday in Sweden but they managed to source me one and it should be here Friday or Monday. Then I've just got to figure out where it goes...

Assume the bolts are already on the engine?

You guessed spot on, the bolts are already on the engine, as t5 stealth says when you look at it you should know exactly what to do.

Wow - so I assume we're talking about the bar going from one side to another from the top of the shocks?

Is it just a case of undoign the nuts/bolts each side - putting the strut across then doing it all up again? Do I need a torque wrench or anything like that?
