    happy days

after quite a while getting the s70 to run correctly i added my exhaust, ( sounds quiet ) my r.i.p kit ( spools up so much quicker ) my cone filter ( lovely noise ) and changed all the vac hoses, boost hoses and stage 0.
ive gone and booked into hlm for my 304 on friday !!

bring on the happy days, cant wait !!

just need to track down the 960 throttle body and me7 inlet manifold now,

finished off with downpipe and race cat.

Once you have tasted of the fruit of power...

BTW, I looked into this throttle business and the consensus seems to be that you are better of sticking with the standard unit if you do a lot of daily driving. Apparently the 960 throttle arrangement is great for max-power, but a bit of an on/off switch otherwise - like a bumper car! I'm not sure big turbos and throttles work so well off the track. The R is a total blast, but borrowed my wife's Golf 1.6 auto cabrio (0-60 approx 14 sec) for a cross-town dash - I have to say that although it is a slug at pulling away, once on the move is eminently chuckable and the R would have been HARD pushed to make ground any faster. I would say the same of her old Seat Arosa 1.4 (manual) it is just brilliant for town driving, forget the 0-60, the 0-30 is what matters and it was so tiny you could whizz it into any gap. Holy cow, I may be off to buy a Lupo GTi...; - )

like everything it might not be to some peoples taset/style. As you say some have either gone back to the factory one (or swop between the 2) because they don't like the throttle response. There are others (like myself) who are quite happy with the 960 one, BT was used daily with it fitted & no problems
