    Front suspension top mounts

I'm going to change my front top mounts in a couple of months or so, I have a service book on its way to me to guide me a little. Is there anything I should be wary of when changing them or is it fairly straight forward (in the context of mechanics)?

    Cheers.

    ,.,

should be simple enough mate but you will need spring compressors as you will need to undo top mounts which hold the spring ....

loosen the strut top centr nut one turn only before compressing the spring. unless using an impact driver (either air gun or battery) put the socket on and give the ratchet a smack with a piece wood in the direction to loosen the nut then turn it one turn. then compress the springs and remove the nut completely. Always work with the top of the mount facing away from you so that if the springs break free it doesn't hit you. there is a lot of tension in them springs and when they go they go big time!

    REMEMBER ONLY ONE TURN!

also remember to line up the spring seats when refitting.oh and when I did mine I had to cut off the old anti-roll bar drop links as the nut were corroded on.
