Hi guys,
looking at this picture would you say the timing was out?
Looks to me to be nearly 180 degrees out
thanks

Yes, the cam slots should be parallel to each other although the slots would be slightly offset (one slot slightly higher than the other but still both would be horizontal). To do the cambelt correctly you use a setting tool in the rear of the cams that holds the cams correctly timed then when the belt is fitted you slacken the cam sprocket bolts off, allow the tensioner to come on then after checking your crank is still aligned you re-tighten the cam sprocket bolts (using a tool to hold the sprocket so you are not tightening against the locked camshaft) then remove he cam locking tool. Chances are someones changed the cambelt without locking the cams and has gotten one a tooth out or someone has had a little play with the cam timing.
