Stability Traction Control (STC) Flashing and loss of power

Now this is a strange one. Ever since i replaced the front discs and pads on my S60, the Stability Traction Control (STC or skidding car symbol) has started flashing and killing the power to the car for about 5 seconds at EXACTLY the same point on the way to work, but intermitantly

Its like its doing a self check after 30 seconds of driving, then it clears and doesnt happen again There are no error messages on the DIM, and it only happens 1st thing of a morning, and not throught the day.

    Anyone experience this before??
    Thankyou, Goodnight....much love

The system does do a self check at about 15mph, I can hear mine doing a little click around that speed when I first set off.

You sure the sensors and disc graduation marks are free of debris/ in place?

Disc graduation marks??? Never heard of those, whats those Do they have to be fitted in a specific way??? I think the sensors are fine, as it only happens now and then, its just weird how it happens at the exact spot every time!!!

Sorry, was thinking of the old ABS 'ring' - whatever the sensor is using the determine the rotation.

AND, offence taken!!!!! Im not THAT thick lol

I think its down to time, or distance the wheels have travelled before the check kicks in. I dont see why it doesnt happen at any other time, apart from a night stood still and 30 secs of driving.

Will take a butchers at the ABS ring, maybe ive been a bit too libral with the copper grease

    Cheers anyway chaps.........and you Pedro
