Ive snapped the bolt in my outer cv joint Has anyone had theirs replaced, and if so, how much am i looking at??? Kwik Fit quoted me £166.00

That's not bad, but they would of been the last people on earth i would have used.
A new CV outer for my R was £99 and that's complete with a proper rubber gaiter, not a crappy plastic one!! Have a feel underneath and see what type they have fitted. If it's plastic then i would get rid. They are notorious for splitting or falling off cos they are too rigid! Get a proper Rubber one mate.

I have a brand new one in my garage. It was meant to go on my V70 but the drivesahft ended up needing replaced so I got the whole lot from Salvo. Give me a shout if your interested.
