    software to reset airbag warning

my old man being impatient swopped over the radio in his S60 while i was away, & tried the radio with the heat controls unplugged & brought the airbag light on

i've tried PCMscan but that didn't detect anything & wouldn't reset it, what software do i need (& where do i get it) to turn the warning light off. I've got an old version of VOL-FCR but tbh never used it as i've got a USB lead & not com's, plus it only covers upto 99

Hah, I did same... twice actually... dammit, once like you with the heater unit unplugged, the second when I was messing with the fuel sender and the seats unplugged.. both times had to take it to Volvo dealer, they charged me the first time, did it free the second!! it only takes seconds to do, I tried garage type readers but they dont see the codes!!!

I told the guys at volvo why the light was on, so they didn't go looking for a problem too...

    Just my experience...

thanks for that, BT's airbag light came on & the local main stealer wanted her for the day so they could check out the whole airbag system. The bulb blew eventually lol

say i've already got the code reading software & lead so prefer to get the program to reset it myself if possible, with these P2's & me messing i'm sure it won't be the last time it needs clearing lol

Not sure if the MTE softloader diagnostics will do

My local spanners reset my one the last time I stupidly yanked the plug.

He uses rather a large diagnosis tool, which obviously did the trick.

He did that for nothing as he was sorting something else at the time.

You think I know **** nothing! But let me tell you I know **** all!
