I have just today discovered a similar problem - in that I have received a Sharp to Volvo conversion lead, but do not seem to have any sound coming from the speakers! That said, the cable marked AMPLIFIER that I removed from mc SC unit does not seem to have a home on the Sharp unit.

Any ideas? It is getting power.

i fitted a dvd multimedia double din head unit in my 850 t5r and all i bought was an iso double block conecter one of these:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Volvo-850-940-...item27b0c9f57b

and mine works fine on the 8 speaker set up. power and rear speakers was on 1 block and the front speakers was on the other block. please note to get ur front speakers working u have to unplug the secondry block from the wiring ur see lurking amongst the rest of the wires (just look for a plug conector simular to the one on ur iso lead). if u guys have a problem i can take pictures for you and post here ok

    Hi,
If you car is a late 850 or p1 X70 and you have a volvo amp (all sc 900/901 do) and option on others then you will need to remove the extra amp loom and connect to the original radio plugs .
Some adactor leads do not have the split feed for the dash speakers ,but that said most ones for the volvos work ok.

See two photos below 1st early type behind radio
2nd late type under right front seat.

    Regards Rogerb
