    Self leveling?

How do i know if my 850 T5 estate is self leveling?

Was going to sell the car as i needed something more econmical for work, but i cant even sell it for £500 and it worth more to me than that. so going to slowly sort it out all its faults and keep it.

If your rear shocks have gaitors on the bottom, It's self levelling I think.
I'm looking at changing mine to non SL.
Your quite welcome to the old shocks for the price of postage
Have to sort mine first though.

Self leveling suspension looks quite a bit different to normal shocks. Or you can put some weight in the boot and go for a short drive to see if the rear has dropped, it will be lower initially but as you drive a small distance they will raise back up to their normal level, as long as they are working.

doh! my boot had 5 alloys in it at the moment and is sat low at the mo.

so i can just change to a non-self leveling option? i am thinking of lowering it in the future but was not sure if it was just a case of swaping them other or something more.

You would need to swap the springs and the shocks if you switch from nivomats. The existing top mounts can be reused.
